A Different Way to Think

    I worked a temp job this week where one of the nice things was being able to listen to the radio.  Unfortunately, this week was the week of the Democratic National Convention.  Living in an area with a large minority population, this meant the radio was pretty much “all Obama, all the time”.  Couple this with the fact that I got to see Barack at a town hall the week before in Chesapeake, VA and I began to think.  I had a simple, boring job of repackaging instant tea packets, so the only way to fight boredom and sleep was to either listen to the radio, or daydream and zone out.  I did both and while thinking, I remembered going to college as a Political Science student, and my interest in the government.  I had just finished a philosophy class too, so I had a lot to think about.  In the end I realized I have a lot of opinions, knowledge and beliefs.   Read more…
