This election is definitely about race.

I still can’t believe people say this Obamanation is not about race. lol. They said that on the news in Virginia yesterday, followed by a quote that Obama is winning the black vote by as much as 97% to 1. That’s pretty clear cut to me. If white people voted like that, McCain probably wins a landslide because the other races vote their beliefs and especially the hispanics who are more conservative because they are hard workers who earn money.

Comments about the rallies. Obama’s rally seemed more like a concert than a rally. McCain’s seemed presidential.  Listening to Obama was like going to church in the hood, whereas listening to McCain seemed like you were listening to a president.  Especially a nice touch that I got to shake former governor Jim Gilmore’s hand.

Especially nice being able to get there late and be escorted to the stage by a handler. Gave the feeling that this affiliation is good, like being a part of a good fraternity. You help them, they help you. The Obama rally however, they gave out too many tickets, didn’t use all the seats in the venue and then made the last 15-20 people with tickets sit in an auditorium and watch the rally on tv. I find myself hoping people in my neighborhood don’t get to vote because they are black so they are all Obama votes. To quote the immigrant from Africa that the news crew interviewed over and over to represent black Republicans while interviewing numerous Obama supporters “I seem to get more support from the Republicans than I do from my own community.”

DON’T WASTE YOUR VOTE ON HYPE.

Note to self:  Buy a t-shirt for the iron on transfer you made that says “Your president…NOT MINE!!!” and “Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr was a Republican.”

ASSIDE ON JIM GILMORE vs MARK WARNER:

For those who don’t know, Gilmore pledged to eliminate the expensive Virginia car tax.  He phased it out halfway, then Democrat Mark Warner got elected with the promise to phase out the rest, and he didn’t.  He also made the bonehead move of the century by meeting with officials when the Atlantic Coast Conference was expanding and basically helping the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (aka Virginia Tech) get into the league instead of Syracuse.  As a University of Virginia fan, that was totally unacceptable.  And now we have another Democratic governor who not only supports VPI, but he’s a fan.
