A Different Way to Think

Virginia Governor Tim Kaine added to his list of blunders as governor by signing a ban on smoking.  If you’re not from the south, you don’t understand the gravity of the situation so I’ll clarify.  A governor in a tobacco producing state, who’s state capital is home to big tobacco, signs a bill banning smoking.  This is another example of Democrats believing they know whats best for us more than we do and circumventing our rights.  I don’t smoke, but I’ll be sure to go to a local bar when the law becomes active and light up a cigar and let it burn.  To be fair, the ban doesn’t really ban smoking outright, but rather bans it in restaurants, bars, bowling alleys and clubs, unless restricted to a closed off area with seperate ventillation.  Mrs. Governor smiled as he signed the bill.  I guess he thinks restaurants and bowling alley’s can afford to build plexiglass enclosures, but really…when you are waiting for your turn to bowl, will you really be able to step into the cubicle, sip on your drink and take a drag.  Silly governor.

What does this mean?  To mother Virginia, it means, Democratic leadership has ruined our economy and reversed course on promises for 8 years now, and hopefully are on their way out with Kaine.  Luckily, we don’t allow our governor to serve consecutive terms, and have a gentlemen’s agreement which precludes a governor from running for president again in the future. 

But what about the implications for the rest of the country?  Well, this governor has been an obama supporter from the start, and if he had his way, he would have been our president now.  He’s been put in charge of the demokratic (sic) party and he was hopeful to have been the vice obama.  This is your warning America.  Don’t place your hopes in this man any more than you should have done the same with Mrs. obama, Mrs. Biden and Mr. pelosi. 

What else has this man done for Virginia?  He took over a state that was in debt and spent more money and signed bills for plans that we couldn’t afford such as gps monitoring for low risk sex offenders.  He tried to force us to pay higher fees to pay for roads without asking the public.  The only way we escaped these fees was to have the state supreme court rule the agencies he designed to collect them ‘unconstitutional’. 

Even before this governor, Mark Warner was elected to the position and immediately saved Virginia Tech (purveyor of dog fighting and law breaking quarterbacks) from the Big East by forcing the ACC to take them over presumably Syracuse University.  But before that, he reversed course on our last good governor’s plan to save us money.  Governor Gilmore -R, planned to eliminate the car tax in Virginia, and funded half of the plan, eliminating the tax on cars 20 years old, and part of it on other cars.  Warner’s only memorable act was to eliminate the rest of the plan, which he promised to finish during his campaign.  He then proceded to take our budget surplus and turn it into a debt at break neck speed.  Governor Kaine then took that debt and expanded it to more democratic levels. 

Here’s warning you America.  Tim Kaine and obama, just don’t get it.  Their plans will do nothing but bankrupt America, and thus bankrupt the world.  Pay attention and make obama’s first term his only term.
