Bob McDonnell, Republican candidate for Virginia Governor.
A funny thing is happening in Virginia as Obama continues his downward spiral to reality. The governor who’s only real accomplishment has been forcing Obama on us is about to be replaced…It’s election year. In short, eight years of Democratic rule have steered Virginia into a ditch. For those who don’t know the back story, Virginia is a traditional bible belt Republican stronghold. Eight years ago, however, a Democrat was elected governor; no doubt because his last name Warner is the same as the long serving Republican Senator of the same name. Then four years ago, current governor Tim Kaine upset the favored Republican Jerry Kilgore. The last eight years in Virginia have seen Warner start by breaking his promise to keep the Republican governor’s plan to phase out the car tax. Democrats took over with a surplus, and have spent the last 8 years spending money even though they had quickly turned the surplus into a deficit during Warner’s term. Governor Kaine continued the same wasteful government and then even attempted to create a bunch of new fees and taxes in order to pay for transportation that has been neglected during Democratic rule. Thank God for the Judicial branch and its power to decide things like private taxing authorities are unconstitutional. So now we sit here with traffic nearing Washington DC levels and a governor who hasn’t noticed that if you stop spending on social programs you can afford to fix roads.
Barack, Barack, Barack. You of all people should know that you can’t say anything in the public eye and then say the exact opposite. Why, because of the Internet. With the Internet, videos from say 2004 show up on youtube. So what happened in 2004. Obama stated his anger and that we need to think about legalizing. What happens in 2009? He publicly asks Americans to go to his website and select issues to be discussed during town hall meetings. Not only do we, but overwhelmingly, the #1 topic for discussion is legalizing marijuana. Silly people again misunderstood Obama. They thought he would be a champion for all the causes he stands for. The man who admitted to enjoying drugs because ‘that’s the point’, told Americans at that town hall meeting that he doesn’t think legalizing marijuana is a good idea. This is what happens when you don’t pay attention to who you’re voting for. The person who said we need to decriminalize marijuana use (who has those perfect black lips that people get from smoking marijuana), bent his knees and flipped on the issue. For those who don’t understand this issue, decriminalizing marijuana use (which has been done in Mexico), doesn’t mean making it a legal drug like alcohol or cigarettes. Read more…
Virginia Governor Tim Kaine added to his list of blunders as governor by signing a ban on smoking. If you’re not from the south, you don’t understand the gravity of the situation so I’ll clarify. A governor in a tobacco producing state, who’s state capital is home to big tobacco, signs a bill banning smoking. This is another example of Democrats believing they know whats best for us more than we do and circumventing our rights. I don’t smoke, but I’ll be sure to go to a local bar when the law becomes active and light up a cigar and let it burn. To be fair, the ban doesn’t really ban smoking outright, but rather bans it in restaurants, bars, bowling alleys and clubs, unless restricted to a closed off area with seperate ventillation. Mrs. Governor smiled as he signed the bill. I guess he thinks restaurants and bowling alley’s can afford to build plexiglass enclosures, but really…when you are waiting for your turn to bowl, will you really be able to step into the cubicle, sip on your drink and take a drag. Silly governor.
The people with money are speaking and for them, socialism just doesn’t cut it. Has anyone noticed how much farther the stock market has fallen since the election. I think this is a sign that people with money are balking at the president with his “Robin Hood” principles where he robs the rich to give to the hood. I can’t blame them. My principles won’t let me get angry at anyone for having money because I know that they either (A) worked hard to get it, (B) inherited it from someone who worked hard to get it, or (C) were extremely lucky to get it. In either way, I don’t get angry or jealous for anyone for having or wasting money. I just get angry at myself for not having found a way to earn my personal fortune by now.
Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal voices concern over the fundamental flaws in obama's beliefs.
Watching yet another pro-Obama campaign rally, oh wait, he’s won and he’s still holding campaign rallies. Note to fundamentally backwards president. You won the election. Time to stop bull****ing us and start learning how to lead. I see where you’re coming from with the frequently saying “my first term”, but to steal one of your favorite phrases…Lets be clear. We don’t want you. Your election was a perfect storm of 2 years of poor Congressional leadership by democrats, combined with 4 years of declining media opinion of the president. 60 million people effectively chose you because you preach well and the economy happens to have fallen off at the right time. You have two years before Republicans take control of Congress because face it, Americans elect Congress to oppose the president. There will be no second term. We will use your presidency to remind us how democratic principles oppose the foundation of the American Dream. Read more…
